During Veterans Appreciation Week the Riders for Veterans motorcycle group from Iron Mountain paid a visit to the Oscar G. Johnson Medical Center to visit with the residents in the Nursing Care area.  The riders do this periodically throughout the year to let them know they are not forgotten, and to thank them for their service to our country.  It always

brings a range of emotions to both the patients and the riders, from smiles & laughter to occasional tears.

Once a year, on the Saturday of  Memorial Day Weekend the Veterans Tribute Ride takes place.  It’s a Ride that Honors US Veterans of all Wars for their service and the many sacrifices they made to protect our citizens and our Country.  Many of the patients at the Oscar G. Johnson Medical Center are brought outside on this day to watch between 200 and 400 bikes ride through the parking lot in their honor.  If you would like more information on the Veterans Tribute Ride please visit this site or call 906-779-9701.  God Bless America & God Bless our Troops!
